A filter rack you can actually see through
Most online photo filter tools hide the adjustments behind a single “intensity” slider. This one shows every dial: brightness, contrast, saturation, hue rotation, blur, sepia, grayscale, invert, and an additive vignette. Every preset in the gallery is just a saved combination of those dials — picking one drops the values in for you, and you can keep tweaking from there.
Filters apply live via the browser's native filter pipeline. Export bakes the same chain into a PNG or JPEG using the Canvas API, so what you see in the preview is byte-identical to what comes out.
What each control does
- Brightness. Multiplies all pixel intensities. 100% is original; 150% washes out highlights; 50% mutes everything toward black.
- Contrast. Spreads or compresses tonal range around mid-gray. High contrast deepens shadows and brightens highlights; low contrast flattens.
- Saturation. Strength of color. 0% is full grayscale; 200% pushes colors to extreme.
- Hue rotate. Spins all colors around the color wheel. Useful for cool/warm shifts or creative remapping.
- Blur. Gaussian blur in pixels. Use sparingly — 1–2 px adds softness, more becomes painterly.
- Sepia. Maps colors toward warm brown. Combined with reduced saturation gives a classic faded-photo feel.
- Grayscale. Desaturates progressively. 100% is fully monochrome.
- Invert. Negates color channels. Mostly a creative effect, not a corrective one.
- Vignette. Adds a soft dark gradient toward the edges. Subtle vignettes draw attention to the center of the frame.

Privacy and export
Filters apply on your device through CSS for the preview and through CanvasRenderingContext2D.filter when exporting. Nothing is uploaded. PNG export is lossless; JPEG export is encoded at 92% quality, which keeps file size moderate while preserving fine gradients.
