How it works
Upload one or more images from your device (PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF, etc.). The files are opened directly in your browser, drawn onto an off-screen canvas, and re-encoded in the format you choose—nothing is ever uploaded to a server, so conversion stays fast and private.
PNG: Uses lossless compression and supports full transparency (alpha channel). Best for UI elements, icons, screenshots, and logos where you need crisp edges or transparent backgrounds. File sizes are usually larger than JPG or WebP, but image quality is preserved.
JPG (JPEG): A lossy format optimized for photos and complex images. It does not support transparency, but it can produce very small files. Higher quality keeps more detail with a larger file size; lower quality greatly reduces file size but may introduce visible compression artifacts.
WebP: A modern format from Google that supports both lossy and lossless compression and can include transparency. In many cases it achieves smaller file sizes than JPG or PNG for similar visual quality, which makes it ideal for web pages and apps where loading speed matters.
In this tool you choose a single output format (PNG, JPG, or WebP), then—for JPG and WebP—use the quality slider to balance clarity against file size. When you click convert, every uploaded image is processed in the browser and you can download all converted files at once, with filenames automatically updated to use the new extension.
