Human visual reaction time
Average simple visual reaction time is about 200–250 ms—see, decide, move. For choosing among several targets it’s often 350–450 ms. A few hundred milliseconds per click is normal; this game is about how close you can get to that over 100 targets.
Vision reaches the brain slower than sound (about 20–40 ms vs 8–10 ms), so visual-only reaction tends to be slower than audio tests. Display and input lag (often 10–50 ms or more) also add to what you see in the browser.
