Two modes: corner mark or full-frame tile
A watermark serves two different jobs depending on where you place it. A subtle corner mark is for attribution: a photographer signing their work, a brand stamping its name on a social post, a copyright line on a product photo. A repeating tile across the entire frame is for protection: it makes cropping or cloning out the watermark prohibitively expensive, which is why stock libraries use it on every preview image.
This tool covers both. A 9-position grid drops a single mark in any corner or edge with a tunable margin; the tile mode covers the image with rotated copies spaced however widely you want.
Text vs logo watermarks
- Text. Cheapest and most legible. Use a bold sans-serif for readability at small sizes; reserve script fonts for large prominent marks where every letter has room to breathe. Pair white text with a drop shadow when the photo background is mixed light/dark.
- Logo / image. Drop in a transparent PNG of your mark. Logos with strong silhouettes survive scaling and partial occlusion; thin lettering disappears below about 4% of the image width.
- Opacity. 70–90% for visible-but-not-obnoxious branding; below 50% the watermark becomes decorative rather than functional.
- Rotation. 0° looks clean for corner marks. ±10° to ±30° for tile mode looks more organic and is harder to clone out than a perfectly axis-aligned grid.

Batch workflow
Drag many images into the tool. The preview shows the currently selected file with your settings applied; the same settings automatically apply to every image when you export. Output is PNG, lossless, with the file name suffixed -watermarked.
For different watermarks per image, work in batches: apply one setting, export, then switch settings and add the next set.
Privacy
Both your images and your watermark logo stay in the browser. Each photo is rendered on a local canvas with the watermark composited on top, then zipped client-side with JSZip. Nothing is uploaded.
