Image Resize
Resize images to your desired width and height. Works with any image format. Maintain aspect ratio or set exact dimensions.
How it works
First, upload an image from your device. The tool reads the original width and height directly in your browser (the file is never sent to a server) and uses those values as the baseline for all resize calculations.
Then choose a resize mode and enter your target width and/or height in pixels. Each mode changes how the final image is scaled and whether the original aspect ratio is preserved.
Keep ratio: The original aspect ratio is always preserved. You can type only width or only height and the other side is automatically calculated. If you enter both width and height, the side you edited last becomes the reference, and the other side is recomputed so that the image never looks stretched or squashed. This mode is best when you want a clean resize without any distortion or cropping.
Stretch: The image is forced to exactly match the width × height you specify, even if that breaks the original aspect ratio. This can make the image look wider or taller than before, but it guarantees that the output has the precise pixel dimensions you requested—useful for fixed-size placeholders, mockups, or UI elements where exact size matters more than perfect proportions.
Crop: The image is scaled so it completely fills your target width and height, and any overflow is cropped from the center. There is no distortion (the aspect ratio is kept), but parts of the left/right or top/bottom edges may be cut off. This is ideal for profile photos, thumbnails, and hero images where you want a full, edge-to-edge frame without empty borders.
When you click Resize & download, the image is redrawn on an off-screen canvas at the exact output size for the chosen mode and encoded as a new file (for example, JPG or PNG). The final pixel dimensions are shown in the UI and included in the filename, and because everything runs locally in your browser, your images never leave your computer.
